There is a simple idea/thought - The launch monitor you build yourself. Progress, proven.

OpenFlight is a real launch monitor built from a Raspberry Pi and three off-the-shelf radars — about $500 in parts, open source top to bottom. FlightWeb is its cloud: every session uploads itself, and your trends live forever.

An Open-source launch monitor and Cloud... community inspired and built this may be one of the coolest projects I have seen come out in a long time.

    I agree. It's a technology tinkers dream set up. It looks pretty simple and pretty cool. If they had a kit you could build at that $750 or less price point (given the processors and memory cost has risen, etc.) I would be all over it. Seems like the $500 cost has now escalated, but it is still a fraction of over higher end radar LMs.

    Surprised by some of his comments like Trackman radars are high quality so the price of the unit reflects the cost of some of those higher end radars...
