Community Lab: SQAIRZ Golf Shoes

Community Lab: SQAIRZ Golf Shoes

There’s always that moment with new gear where everything feels right.

Fresh out of the box, first few rounds, everything clicks. Comfort is high, confidence is high, and it feels like you found something that might actually stick.

But the real story starts after that.

This Community Lab is built to get past that early phase and understand what SQAIRZ golf shoes actually look like over time. Not just a couple of rounds, but through the ups and downs of a full golf season.

Because that’s where the truth shows up.

This lab is focused on long-term performance. Multiple rounds, different conditions, real use. We want to see how these shoes hold up when they stop feeling new and start becoming part of your routine.

At Life At The Turn, this is where things get interesting. Real feedback, real experiences, and real conversations between golfers and brands.

About SQAIRZ

SQAIRZ is not trying to fit into the mold of traditional golf footwear.

The square toe design stands out immediately, but it is not just for looks. It is built to create a wider, more stable base, helping golfers feel more grounded and connected during the swing.

The goal is simple. More stability, better balance, and the potential to generate more speed.

They are one of the few brands in the category openly leaning into performance gains, including the idea that their shoes can help increase club head speed.

That is a big claim.

And it is exactly why this lab exists.

What we want to learn

This is about the full experience over time.

How do they perform once the initial excitement wears off?
Do they actually feel more stable and supportive during the swing?
Is there any noticeable change in club head speed or distance?
How do they hold up after repeated rounds and practice sessions?
Do they stay comfortable across long days on the course?
How do they handle different conditions like wet mornings or firm summer turf?
Are they easy to clean and maintain, or do they start to show wear quickly?
And maybe most importantly, do you actually enjoy wearing them week after week?

What we expect from testers

Use the shoes consistently, share honest feedback as your experience evolves, and bring the community along with you through real updates, photos, and conversations.

The best Community Labs are not just reviews. They are shared experiences that help other golfers make better decisions.

Why this matters

SQAIRZ is doing something different in a category that often looks and feels the same.

But different only matters if it works.

This Community Lab is how we find out. Through real golfers, real rounds, and real time.

So if you are part of this, lean into it. Pay attention, be honest, and share what you are seeing.

Because someone else in this community is going to read your experience and decide if SQAIRZ is worth the step.

This one is very tempting be fun to compare them to the new Vice Fuse going to have to think for a bit if I want to put in for this one.

this sounds great! I've always been intrigued by sqairz shoes, particularly as someone who has had toe surgery. I've already committed to another test but I'll be anxious to see how this one turns out. I walk every round so good footwear is critical to my enjoyment...but I also want shoes that look good.

I am thinking the same but it would be a great way to compare the two for sure

After seeing the new lineup at the PGA Show, I can't wait for people to get these in their hands (and on their feet, naturally) - the redesign is fantastic and the addition of the BluMaka insoles makes me really curious as to how much better these might feel (and I love my previous-gen setup).

Excited to see what you all think!

As someone with wide feet that has trouble finding comfortable and effective golf shoes - the Vice Fuse are amazing, but a real squeeze with only being regular width...lol - I can't let this one pass me by...especially since the new Sqairz come in wide width!

After these 2 comments I put in as well. They have some great looking shoes again this year as well.

The new line for this year looks outstanding. Two pairs I absolutely would wear on a regular basis. They have come a LONG ways in design!

Have always been intrigued by this brand - looking forward to following this along!

Just a friendly reminder that if you're currently reviewing something or on a Lab for something else, you most likely won't get selected for another concurrent thing.

We definitely want to make sure the opportunities get spread out amongst everyone.

Thanks, all!

Oh I really like this one! I’ve been interested in Sqairz for a good spiked shoe. I only have 1 pair now but they’re far too uncomfortable to wear when walking.

Oh, now this is a really intriguing opportunity. I have always been interested in the Squairz shoes. But in total fairness, I am currently doing the Wilson Staff iron test (MB/CB/XB) for MGS (Sorry), so will not apply. Good luck to the others.

I picked up a pair of the shoes a few months back, but they just didn't want to keep my heels in place so I had to return them. I was totally bummed. Hopefully they'll work well for others.

Bumping this!

I've been playing Sqairz for 3 years now (I'm on my 4th pair) and really enjoy them. Waterproofing has always held up. They've gotten lighter with each new model. Quality construction. I think the testers will definitely enjoy them!

I think I may need to give them another go. I like the new models, especially the Speed3 and Speed3 SL for walking.

Well after the Live I sort of wish I had signed up for this one. Very interested to see how they do and love the new look of the lineup.

This should be a great community lab, Sqairz send to make excellent product and they have piqued my interest lately. I can't wait to hear who gets chosen to test them out.

How do I get in? I've listened to the recording of the episode with Bob Winskowicz. I read the post above and looked for the sign up. I clicked Went, since the event has passed. I would love to compare these to my prior Sqairz and current shoes.

I went the went route at well after relisting and twisting shoes this weekend (everything but my current Vice shoes folded over like a cheap suit) I think I want to give these a try if there is still a chance

Just keep active and posting! We are still waiting on final numbers from SQAIRZ and then will make our announcements.

My wife is taking up golf, so I've been looking at shoes more, because she is looking at them 🤣. She just had a pair of G/Fore delivered. I played those last year and enjoyed them, but I had to size up to get my toes to be comfortable. I've tried Ecco, G/Fore, Adidas, Travis Mathew, Footjoy and Sqairz. Over the winters I dumped all but two pairs and I'm starting over this year. Sqairz are back up for another possible run. I walk 90% of my rounds (60 rounds a year), so shoes are super critical to enjoying the game.
