All of a sudden 200 becomes 140 and I’ve ordered the pro sticks which to me seem to offer the best of both worlds in regard to over speed training.

I did my first physical and distance related assessments test day and started training today with the old sticks. I will switch over to the new ones next week. We have some cooler weather and I wanted to take advantage of it.

I will post pictures and the new ones when they arrive and give you a blow by blow. I was in the first tester group on another site about 7 years ago. The good news is that my initial numbers here were a tad faster than my initial numbers then - that training worked so I’m hoping for similar results and also new protocols that keep the distance gains going without having to do 3 arduous for a 69 year old protocols each week.

Sign up closed! It's not about one-and-done posts. It's about building something together that helps every golfer in this community make smarter choices.

Through Community Labs, members share real experiences with real gear. These aren't just first impressions, but long-term thoughts, performance feedback, and whether or not that club, ball, or piece of tech actually earned a spot in the bag.

If you're tired of influencer hype or generic reviews, you're in the right place.

Why We Built It

We wanted more than traditional tester programs.
So we created Community Labs to be more helpful, more transparent, and more focused on real-world performance.

This space is designed to:

Let golfers tell the full story, not just fill out a form

Encourage honest conversation and shared insight

Build a growing archive of gear experiences shaped by the community

Whether you're reading along, adding your own thoughts, or becoming a Field Reporter, you're part of something that helps all of us make better decisions.

Who's Involved?

Field Reporters

These are selected members who receive gear and commit to logging their experience over time. It's not about winning something. It's about putting it to the test and sharing what they learn.

Each Field Reporter starts a Logbook, which is a personal thread where they track everything from first swings to final verdicts, with photos, updates, and honest performance notes.

Lab Contributors

This includes everyone else. If you've tried the same product, you can add your voice by sharing your feedback. Whether it's a comment, mini-review, or quick comparison, your input helps build a more complete picture.

Voices From the Field

We also host roundtable discussions and Q&A events where Field Reporters, Lab Contributors, and members talk about gear, share opinions, and ask questions. Sometimes brands join too. These sessions turn feedback into conversations and bring the community together.

Key Parts of Community Labs

The Logbook

Every Field Reporter creates a Logbook that tracks their experience with a product over time. It's part journal, part review, and part gear diary. You’ll find:

Initial impressions

On-course updates

Honest performance feedback

Photos and personal takeaways

The Snapshot Report

At the end of the Logbook, each Field Reporter shares a short summary of their experience. These Snapshot Reports highlight:

What worked

What didn’t

Who the product is best for

A Buy or Bench verdict

Whether they would actually game it

These summaries make it easy to see if a product might be right for you.

Community Polls

Each product thread includes a poll where members rate gear on a 1 to 5 scale for:

Looks

Sound and feel

Distance

Forgiveness

On-course performance

Whether it would make the bag

Poll results are tracked over time to reveal community sentiment.

The Community Buyer’s Guide

This quarterly digest brings everything together. It includes:

Top-rated products by category

Most-read Logbooks

Field Reporter highlights

Gear that generated the most discussion

Brands that stood out, for better or worse

The guide helps you see what’s gaining momentum and what’s being left behind.

How You Can Get Involved

Browse Logbooks to see how products are performing in real conditions

Vote in product polls to share your opinion

Add your own feedback if you’ve used the gear

Apply to become a Field Reporter if you're ready to share a full product journey

Everyone’s voice matters and helps shape the bigger picture.

Final Thoughts

Community Labs is just getting started, and you're part of its growth.
This space was built to help golfers cut through noise, get honest feedback, and feel more confident about gear choices.

Whether you're testing, contributing, or simply reading along, you're helping build a more trusted, experience-driven golf community.
