Live Q&A With Clay Simpson of SkyGolf

Live Q&A: SkyGolf GameTraX 360 | Wednesday at 4pm EST

ChatGPT Image Mar 24, 2026, 11_07_08 AM.png

What if you could understand not just what your ball is doing… but why?

We’re going live with Clay Simpson from SkyGolf to break down the brand new GameTraX 360 system, powered by their SuperTags technology.

This isn’t your typical tracking setup. We’re talking:

  • Automatic shot and swing tracking on every swing

  • 3D swing data without a camera

  • Real strokes gained insights with zero hassle

  • Seamless integration with your current setup

It’s built for one thing: just go play, and actually learn from it.

If you’ve ever been frustrated with missed shots, clunky tracking, or data that doesn’t help… this is the one to tune into.

I want to know if you still have to enter what club you are hitting, and if you don't how does it know what club you used. Hoping this will be recorded as I may still be at work

Arccos uses their AI system and it does a bang up job of recognizing which club im using. I would imagine this does something similar

Will try to tune in - always interested to learn if there's "a better mousetrap" in shot tracking.

I was planning on making this but the son has decided he wants to go out for a meal as it’s his birthday. Hopefully I’ll be back in time

Can't wait to hear about the shot tracking, especially with all the extra swing analysis ..... seems like magic to me

I messed up this is at 4pm EST which is 9:00pm here. Silly time change!!!

I couldn't make the entire call but did enjoy what I listened to. I'll have to catch the recap once it's up on YouTube. I appreciate you doing these Jamie!

I really like the idea of a handheld gps to see a course overview, but honestly not sure I play enough new courses that it would make sense…although I still have some feelings from Kingsmill not knowing there was a hazard in front of the green!

Interesting product and I tried to sort out some of the details and put it together into a post here:

I'll be very curious to get some feedback on the smart tags. I really like the ability to get swing data combined with course performance data. I think it could be super valuable to figure out if there is something unique it can detect on specific types of misses. Like do I chunk the ball due to tempo issues, or do I overdraw the ball because of swing length issues, etc.

I can see some huge added value beyond just standard arccos and shot scope tracking data. But at a cost. Isn't there always a cost? Well - Shot Scope is super appealing because of no subscription costs.

I played with the Sky Caddie hand helds for a few years quite a while back and it was decent and really helped on the unknown courses for sure. Are they trying to make them a popular thing again as I haven't seen many people using them around here lately

Same boat. Joined late, but enjoyed the discussion of the product and the wrap up post call. It’s an interesting product, but in a competitive market place dominated by Arccos, Shotscope and Garmin among others.

They said they make products similar to a iPhone in terms of product life so 3 years or so. I appreciate the candid thoughts from Clay. Not sure I am too excited by that.
